Miley was a vegan until 2020. That year, Miley became a pescatarian.

However, a performance at a Glasgow festival caused Miley to change her diet completely. The longtime gluten-free and meat-free singer said she felt sluggish on stage and needed to change her ways — especially her diet.

So after nearly ten years, Miley began eating fish and she said it helped her to feel better. Miley still looks amazing, and she feels even better. She explained why on the Joe Rogan podcast, where she mourned the loss of the fish she consumed.

Miley told the Spotify podcast host, “I remember going to Glastonbury [music festival] and that was a show that I loved—I loved my performance—but I was running on empty.”

Miley said she was malnutrition and suffered from brain fog. When she ate fish, she returned to her desired state — vibrant and full of life.

As an animal rights activist, Miley had her wedding catered with vegan food. The wedding food choice was symbolic of Miley’s love for animals and plant-based eating.
