Elsa Hosk’s diet involves mild restrictions and the model eats three main meals in so that she is not hungry in between. One of Elsa’s biggest restrictions is dairy.

Similar to Candice Swanepoel’s diet, Elsa can thank genetics for her figure. Although her Nordic genes may play a large role in her amazing body, she exercises a lot and eats well and Elsa’s diet is easier than you might think.

Elsa’s favorite cuisine is Greek, so she eats a lot of cucumbers, tomatoes, and Greek yogurt.

Elsa told ELLE that following a specific diet was difficult for her.

She explained, “I am really bad at being on a diet. As soon as I tell myself, ‘You have to eat this or that,’ I am going to do the exact opposite, so I didn’t tell myself anything.”

The documentary — What the Health — highlighted the benefits of going dairy-free.

Elsa continued about her diet choice, “And I feel much better. It makes you realize there’s definitely something to it.”

Although Elsa said Swedes love dairy, the model has managed without.

Instead, Elsa has found dairy alternatives.

Elsa explained, “I start getting ready for the show about two months before. The show is in November and we just had the fitting, so I’ve been working and getting ready.”

According to Elsa, two months is the bootcamp sweet spot.

She does barre for lengthening

The Helsa founder has trained with celebrity fitness expert Kirk Myers, who runs Dogpound and trains people like Josie Canseco and Candice Swanepoel.

Elsa dished, “Those are important for me to work on because on the runway you’re wearing really heavy wings and really high heels, so you need really strong legs so you don’t fall.”

She added, “I go to Dogpound and train with Kirk, and he’s just amazing. He does a mix of weightlifting and we focus a lot on the legs.”
