She works out two hours a day

In April 2023, Cardi told TikTok fans that she was working out two hours a day, plus one hour of stretching.

The WAP rapper revealed, “I’ve been working out lately for two hours a day and then I stretch for an hour.” 

Her goal? 

The rapper works out for two hours a day, focusing on a combination of cardio, weightlifting, and core exercises. She also incorporates dance workouts and boxing into her workout for weight loss to keep things interesting

Cardi continued, “I want to be able to be as flexible as I was before I had my son, but my real goal is I want to be as stretchable and flexible as I was when I was a stripper.”

Speaking of stripping, Cardi still gets a great workout from her former profession.

She works the pole

Cardi B is known for her intense workout routine, which includes spending two hours in the gym, incorporating unique equipment like a stripper pole.

In case you didn’t know, Cardi came from humble beginnings before making it big. The Grammy-winning rapper was a stripper, and as it turns out, working the pole is quite a good exercise.

Cleveland Clinic reported visceral fat is located deep within the abdominal cavity, surrounding vital organs.

Cardi agreed, revealing, “But there’s this thing called visceral fat, and visceral fat is the fat that surrounds your organs that you cannot lipo.”

Therefore, Cardi works out accordingly — for two hours!

Here’s Cardi’s two-hour workout, straight from the rapper herself.

She starts with a warmup and ends with some stretching, paying close attention to her form and listening to her body.

As always, workouts should occur with the clearance from a medical and by consulting a fitness professional.

Dynamic warmup: 

Cardi starts with a warm-up before getting into the rest of her lengthy exercise session.

Battle ropes:  

Cardi starts with a battle ropes workout — a high-intensity training that involves using thick ropes with weighted ends. The full-body workout engages multiple muscle groups at once, including the arms, shoulders, back, and core. Battle ropes can improve strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness.

Weighted jumping jacks: 

The Up rapper takes jumping jacks to the next level, with a weight, for a full-body workout and cardio exercise. 

Assisted pull-up:  

Assisted pull-ups are a popular exercise among beginners and those like Cardi working towards performing unassisted pull-ups. The assisted pull-up involves using a machine or resistance band to help pull the body up toward the bar.

Heel-elevated Romanian deadlift: 

The heel-elevated Romanian deadlift is a variation of the traditional Romanian deadlift exercise that focuses on the posterior chain muscles like the hamstrings and glutes. This exercise involves elevating the heels on a weight plate or platform, which increases the range of motion and places greater emphasis on the muscles being targeted.

Cable-machine pull-through: 

Next, Cardi did a cable-machine pull-through, which involves standing in front of the machine, facing away from it, and pulling the cable through her legs while keeping her core engaged.

After that, another glute workout! Cardi does cable-machine glute kickbacks involve attaching an ankle strap to the cable and standing with one foot in front of the other while kicking the back leg back and squeezing the glute muscles. 

Wall sit with medicine-ball raise: 

Next, Cardi works her core — again!

Cardi completes a series of wall sits with a medicine-ball raise to make things extra tough. The challenging exercise primarily targets the quadriceps, glutes, and shoulders. 

To perform this exercise, Cardi leans against a wall with her feet hip-width apart and her knees bent at a 90-degree angle. She holds a medicine ball at chest level and slowly raises it above her head while keeping her back flat against the wall. 

Cardi holds this position for a few seconds before lowering the medicine ball back down to chest level and repeats for several repetitions, ensuring that her knees remain in line with her toes and that her back stays in contact with the wall. 

Stretching

Cardi stretches after a workout for one hour.

For an entire hour, Cardi stretches her fascia and ensures optimal recovery.
